Vantage 2.x versions for On-Premises or Private Cloud deployment, on customer-owned or rented infrastructure, are declared end of life (EOL) and end of support as of 31 December 2026.

"End of support" means that as of January 2027, ABBYY provides no further updates or enhancements for Vantage 2.x On-Premises and Private Cloud deployments. For the period from 10 November 2026 until 31 December 2026 ABBYY will continue to support Vantage 2.x versions with respect to issues not dependent on .NET 8.

Why is Vantage 2.x end of life?

Vantage 2.x runs on .NET 8, and Microsoft ends support for .NET 8 on 10 November 2026.

Successor product: Vantage 3.x Self-Hosted

Vantage 3.x Self-Hosted is the successor to Vantage 2.x On-Premises and Private Cloud deployments. All future enhancements for Self-Hosted deployments will be delivered in this version.

Vantage 3.x Self-Hosted follows the release schedule of Vantage 3.x Cloud closely. Shortly after a release is rolled out in the cloud, its enhancements become available for Self-Hosted deployments as well.

Recommended customer action: Migrate to Vantage 3.x

To keep your environment secure and supported, we recommend that all Self-Hosted customers migrate to a Vantage 3.x Self-Hosted deployment option as soon as possible. Vantage 3.x Self-Hosted runs on the latest .NET release - 10.

Please note that the Vantage 3.x Self-Hosted deployment model differs from Vantage 2.x. Review the migration guide before planning your move.
