Issue
When activating the program on Mac, the following error message appears:
Invalid serial number. The serial number you entered is invalid. Please provide a valid serial number to activate ABBYY FineReader PDF.
Cause
Another program version FineReader PDF for Mac has been installed but the serial number from the previous program version FineReader Pro for Mac has been used for activation.
Resolution
FineReader Pro for Mac and FineReader PDF for Mac are two separate versions and should be activated with separate serial numbers.
If the serial number of your copy of the program corresponds to the FineReader Pro for Mac version, please uninstall FineReader PDF for Mac and install FineReader Pro for Mac using the following link.
