If we compress the project on the test server, export it to the local computer, and then update the project on the production server, what will happen with batches?

Answer

Batches are not removed by the CompactProject command. It checks the working and training batches, makes a list of versions that do not need to be removed (since they are used in these packages themselves), and removes all other versions of the document definitions.

For a project on the server, deletes all unused versions of the document definition and associated files. The search is carried out in working and training batches. Unused versions are searched for in working and training batches.
