Prerequisites

• There is an internet connection on the workstation. 

Steps

1. Run the FineReader program. The Activation Wizard window appears.
   • If the Wizard does not appear, click Help > (About > License info) > Activate. 
2. Type the serial number into the corresponding field:
    
3. Click Next.
4. Select Via the internet as the activation method and click Next.
5. (Optional) Complete the registration form.
   1. Being a registered user has its benefits: free technical support, ABBYY Screenshot Reader, and a way to recover the serial number if it was lost (e.g. when reinstalling the operating system). 
6. Click Next and finish the activation process.
