Symptoms

When the copy of FineReader PDF is launched on the computer, the following message pops up:

"The license <license number> is already in use by the user <user name> on the workstation <workstation name>"

Cause

If the copy of the program is installed on more workstations than allowed by the EULA, the warning message pops up.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, remove the license from the extra computer where it is installed if it violates EULA conditions.

Please delete the license as described below:

1. Open FineReader PDF.
2. Go to the Help menu > About > License Info.
3. Select the license > click the Remove button > OK.
