How to flatten (make the interactive elements in PDF forms such as checkboxes, text boxes, radio buttons, drop-down lists are no longer fillable) a PDF with fillable forms in FineReader PDF 15?

Answer

To make the interactive forms no longer fillable please save the document as "Image-Only PDF document" and then recognize it again:

  1. Open the document with fillable interactive forms in PDF-editor > File > Save as > Image-Only PDF document.
  2. Open the Image-Only PDF document and select on the toolbar Recognize > Recognize document:

  3. Save the file.
