Unable to connect to the server via a verification station. Error message "Cannot connect to ... (error code: 12002). (15) Unknown error. Error code: 0x2ee2"


Error when connecting to the Application Server in Rich Verification Station and the Station does not open or also when you try to upload a project to the Server.


This error is related to some connectivity issues in the network. In general, an error with code 12002  when connecting is related to a connection timeout error.


  1. The Application Server IP should be accessible from the Station via ping command, otherwise FlexiCapture stations will not be able to establish the connection.
  2. Please make sure that the ports necessary for the operation of FlexiCapture 12 are open and accessible. For a flowchart of FlexiCapture 12 component interactions, see the ABBYY online help topic at the following URL: ABBYY FlexiCapture architecture
  3. If a proxy is installed in this environment, enable the "Use Proxy" option in the connection settings and enter the proxy information as you can see in the screenshot below. 
  4. Make sure that the firewall, proxy, and any other network security settings or software are not blocking the connection in your environment.

If the issue persists after checking the above recommendations, then this issue may be related to your environment. If that's the case, please contact your network/system administrators
