Is it the expected behavior that the skill version is retained when a skill duplicate is created?

Answer

It's a by-design behavior, which is correct from the versioning point of view. Duplicating a skill creates a new skill that is identical to the one being duplicated. A skill duplicate retains the original skill's description, version, demo documents, the set of documents uploaded when creating and editing the original skill, as well as all existing labeling.
