Custom skill not processing the documents from "Documents" tab

The "Documents" area in Vantage is intended for testing the built-in capabilities.

That means, in case the built-in classification skill and the document skills aren't applied and the data cannot be extracted from a document , which type isn't supported out of the box (the documents is shown as "Unknown"), the user has a possibility to create his own skills either from scratch or by extending Vantage's built-in framework skills

Thus, if you created your own skill, it won't be applied upon uploading documents to Vantage's "Documents" area. To see how well your document skill is able to extract data you might want to use the document skill's "Try" functionality.

Otherwise, you need to create a Process Skill and wither setup SFTP-import/output or use Vantage's API for the document processing.
