How to find out what license is used on a particular workstation?

Answer

To determine which serial number is used on a particular computer, please check the license file <serial number>.ABBYY.License. The part of the file name before *.ABBYY.License is the serial number of the product activated on the computer.

The license file is located in the folder: C:\ProgramData\ABBYY\FineReader\<version number>\Licenses. 

Please note, that ProgramData folder may be hidden.

Otherwise, please submit a request and provide the Support ID from the workstation:

  1. In FineReader PDF go to the menu Help > About > License Info.
  2. The Support ID combination consists of 24 digits.
  3. With the help of the Support ID, the information about the serial number can be restored by the Customer support team.
