Symptoms

When installing FineReader PDF, the following error appears:

Cannot install the program. Please run setup.exe to launch the setup wizard.

Cause

Msi file (similar to .exe) has been run. While the .msi file is intended only for the installation using Active Directory or SCCM.

Resolution

Please use the instructions from the System's Administrator Guide:

• installation using Active Directory:

• installation using SCCM:
