Symptoms

The message This feature is not available for your license appears when trying to convert a document via the command line using the command /out :

“C:\Program Files\ABBYY FineReader 16\FineReaderOCR.exe” D:\Documents\Document1.pdf /lang English /out D:\Documents\Result.docx

Cause

The license does not support the feature of saving the OCR results via the command line. 

Resolution

Saving the results via the command line requires a special FineReader PDF license: Extended CLI-enabled license. Such licenses are available for purchase only via our Sales managers. Please contact a sales manager or submit a request if this feature is needed.

With the current license that provides the regular command-line interface, it is possible to send the OCR results to the applications specified for the /send Target command. The OCR results will be opened in the selected application (PDFViewer, MSWord, MSExcel, etc).
