How to enable Query Wait Statistics for SQL Server 2017 for diagnostics purposes?

Please refer to this Microsoft article: Monitoring performance by using the Query Store

Steps to enable:

1. Connect to FlexiCapture database via SQL Server Management Studio 18.
2. Switch to Read write option in Database properties > Query Store > Operation Mode (Requested)
   
   
3. After that Query Store folder is created in the database with Query Wait Statistics report
   
   

Note: the instructions apply only to SQL (SQL Express) 2017+ и SQL Server Management Studio 18.
