Symptoms

On an attempt to run FlexiCapture.exe the error message appears:

Failed to run license... There are no licenses of required type.

The license in the FlexiCapture 12 License Manager is valid. License type - Distributed.

Cause

Administrator and Operator Stations are parts of the Standalone version, which requires another type of license - Standalone. Even though they can be selected from the menu by opening FlexiCapture.exe directly from C:\Program Files\ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Stations in Distributed version, they still require a Standalone type license to run.

Resolution

To set up your project in Distributed version, please, use the Project Setup Station from the Start menu, or, from the following menu, if you are opening FlexiCapture.exe directly from C:\Program Files\ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Stations:
