To set FineReader PDF as a default PDF viewer, please follow the steps:

  1. Right-click any PDF file in Windows Explorer and click Properties in the shortcut menu.
    The Properties dialog box will open:
  2. On the General tab click the Change... button to change the application to be used for opening PDF files. A list of applications will open:

  3. In the list of applications, select ABBYY FineReader PDF.
    Note. If there's no ABBYY FineReader PDF in the list, try scrolling down. To see more applications, click More apps
  4. Click OK
