Symptoms
After processing a file in FineReader PDF, its images look blurred.
Cause
The cause can be the MRC setting. If this option is selected, the images will be compressed using the Mixed Raster Content (MRC) compression. MRC compression can reduce the size of PDF files, although it may result in some images becoming blurry.
Resolution
To resolve the issue, please proceed as follows:
For FineReader PDF 16:
- Run FineReader PDF.
- Go to File > Options... > Format Settings.
- In PDF Settings, disable the Use MRC compression option:
- Click OK.
- Process a document again.
For FineReader PDF 15:
- Run FineReader PDF 15.
- Go to Tools > Options... > Format Settings.
- In PDF Settings, disable the Use MRC compression option and click OK.
- Process a document again.
