Symptoms

The document goes to Exceptions with the following error:

Please obtain the appropriate license to be able to recognize Japanese texts

Cause

The selected license does not support additional OCR language - Japanese.

Resolution

Remove the Japanese language from the affected Document Definitions properties or contact your ABBYY sales manager to make the required changes to the selected license.
