Service security and data protection
Microsoft provides the security of the hosting environment, which includes physical security, fault-tolerance, redundancy, and operations and personnel security. Microsoft’s security procedures, including encrypted communications and operational procedures, identity and access management, intrusion detection, DDoS attack prevention, and penetration testing, are described here.
ABBYY provides Vantage Cloud service application security and continuous operations, including a variety of security technologies and procedures to save uploaded data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Regular penetration testing conducted by NCC Group.
SOC 2 Type 1 certification
ABBYY Vantage Cloud is SOC2 Type 1 certified by PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers). The full audit report is available to customers under an NDA.

Data processing locations
All customer data is processed and stored within the Microsoft Azure data centers. Data centers are in Western Europe and the United States. Each customer can select a region where data will be stored and processed.
You control access to your data
When ABBYY delivers a complete tenant to the customer, the administrator on the customer side receives complete visibility and control to its tenant, including documents and processed data. Administrators can invite other users to the tenant and assign user access roles.
Access to the service for ABBYY employees is strictly restricted and seamlessly logged.
Storage and automatic data removal
ABBYY Vantage Cloud is an intelligent document processing service, not a document or data storage service. Data submitted for processing and event logs are automatically deleted in 14 days. The technical logs are stored for 1 month.
ABBYY service supports encrypted data transfer using HTTPS with high-grade encryption. Data in the storage in Azure is protected with encryption.
Service availability and SLA
24x7 monitoring of cloud operations
To assure high availability of the ABBYY Vantage Cloud several automatic tests constantly monitor and report availability and performance. In case of any issue, a dedicated support team will be automatically instantly notified to resolve the issue.
ABBYY Vantage Cloud customers have access to the Service Status Monitor dashboard, which instantly shows the status of the service and is therefore extremely useful for monitoring and troubleshooting.

ABBYY provides an SLA that guarantees 99.5% uptime for the service.
