What deployment methods can be used for FineReader with the SLE license type?

Answer

You can install FineReader with the SLE license on the workstations using all the methods presented in FineReader PDF System Administrator's Guide:

Interactive installation

The distribution kit should be unpacked into a shared folder. Then install the program on the workstations running Setup.exe from that folder.

Command line installation

The distribution kit should be unpacked into a shared folder. Run the Setup.exe file in the shared folder using the command line parameters described in Silent installation.

Using Active Directory

The distribution kit should be unpacked into a shared folder. Create a GPO, run the installation from *.exe file. 

Using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)

The distribution kit should be unpacked into a shared folder. Create an Application and run the installation from the *.exe file. 

Important information

When installing the program using Active Directory or SCCM from the *.msi file, the following steps should be accomplished before the installation: 

1. Preinstall Visual C++ Redistributable on all workstations.
2. The installation from *.msi can be done through Silent installation only.

You have to use the particular distribution kit received after the purchase. ABBYY License Manager and ABBYY License Server should not be installed, either the administrative installation point.
