Symptoms

Password protection is applied to all the PDF documents in FineReader PDF when it is not intended.

Cause

The Protect the documents with passwords setting might be enabled.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, please disable the setting as described below:

For FineReader PDF 16:

1. Open FineReader PDF and select the Settings button in the upper right corner of the screen.
2. Go to the Format Settings > PDF.
3. Disable the Protect documents with passwords setting:
   
4. Click OK.

For FineReader PDF 15:

1. Go to the Tools > Options > Format Settings > PDF. 
2. Disable the Protect the documents with passwords setting:
   ​
3. Click OK.
