Symptoms

When apply a digital signature to a document and attempt to save the following error message occurs: Internal Program Error: D:\Build\TeamAgent\work\2\s\0\OCRT\PdfTools\Components\PdfTools.Crypto\src\Signature\SignatureCreator.cpp, 158

Error code: 0x80091002

Cause

Incorrectly installed certificate.

Resolution

To resolve the issue create a new self-signed certificate:

  1. Install a certificate by right-clicking it in Windows Explorer and selecting Install Certificate.
  2. Follow the instructions in the Certificate Import Wizard.
