How to avoid (UNKNOWN [ID:1]) ID when creating dataset manually

Symptoms

When manually creating a dataset in the ID field we have (UNKNOWN [ID: 1]) instead of a normal ID like 1 for example. 

Cause

The wrong Dataset source is selected.

Resolution

To add dataset records manually so the ID will not be unknown you need to set the dataset Source as None:

blobid0.jpg

Then it will assign id correctly:

mceclip0.png
