Symptoms

When scanning a document to PDF in grayscale images are highlighted in white.

Cause

MRC compression is causing the issue.

Resolution

As a workaround we recommend disabling MRC compression to improve image quality:

1. Open FineReader application;
2. Go to Tools > Options > Format Settings;
3. In PDF Settings disable the Use MRC compression option: 
4. Click OK;
5. Process the document again.
