How to find and replace words or phrases in a document?

Answer

To search for and replace words and phrases in PDF Editor, please follow the next steps: 

  1. Start FineReader PDF, click Open in PDF Editor and select a document. 
  2. Click the tab in the pane on the left or click View > Search in the main menu to open the Search pane.
  3. Navigate to the Replace tab.
  4. In the Find what text field, type the word or phrase required to find.
  5. In the Replace with field, enter the text that will replace the original text.
  6. In the search results, mark a word or phrase to be replaced.

    Note: To replace several words or phrases at once, select the appropriate value in the Search panel.

  7. Click Replace.
  8. Save the changes.

To search for and replace words in OCR Editor, please follow the steps below: 

  1. Open the document in OCR Editor.
  2. Recognize the document.
  3. Press Ctrl+H on the keyboard.
  4. In the Find what text field, type the word or phrase required to find.
  5. In the Replace with field, enter the text that will replace the original text.
  6. Click Replace or Replace All
