How to remove a page image of the PDF document in FineReader so the background text and pictures it contains are visible?

Answer

1. In the menu go to Tools > Options.
2. Select Format Settings tab and PDF as document type.
3. In Searchable PDF Settings select Text and pictures only.
4. Click OK.
5. Open the source file, recognize it and save it as searchable (File > Save as > Searchable PDF).
