Symptoms

The application returns the error SOAP Server Application Faulted when somebody tries to self-register using the Registration link on the login page of ABBYY FlexiCapture web stations:

Cause

Due to security reasons, it has been decided to remove the anonymous login options in FlexiCapture 12 (which makes user self-registration impossible). The functionality of registering a new user is available only inside the Administration and Monitoring Station. That will ensure that only an authorized user will be able to create new users.

Resolution

Log in to the Administration and Monitoring Station as a user with an Administrator role, go to Settings > Users, and click the New User button to add a new user:​
