"Error 1706 no valid source could be found for product" after FC12 install

Symptoms:

Next window may be received after trying to reinstall FC12:

Cause:

This error may caused after install interruption and/or using the guide described here to fix "Error 1721"

 

Resolution:

Next option may be helpful in order to continue installation:

Click "Browse" and select MSI file located in installation disk related to installing component (in our example - it's "ABBYY Flexicapture 12 Stations")

In case you will see "Error 1706 no valid source could be found for product" after MSI file selected - only option to solve it now is OS re-install.
