Symptoms

When trying to update FineReader PDF 15, the error occurs:

Called RunScript when not marked in progress.

Resolution

1. Close FineReader PDF 15.
2. Delete the content of the folder: C:\ProgramData\ABBYY\FineReader\15\Updates.
   Please note the ProgramData folder may be hidden.
3. Temporarily disable the antivirus software installed on the PC.
4. Install the program using the distribution kit or request it by contacting Customer Support team.
5. Double-click the downloaded installation file to start the installation and follow the instructions on the screen. If a window appears asking to replace the existing files, click Yes, to All.
