Symptoms

Error message appears when working in FineReader PDF 15:

...\English.amt was not found.

* can be English.amt, German.amt, Greek.amt, Arabic.amt, etc.

Cause

Some program files were removed or corrupted.

Resolution

To fix the issue, please try to repair the installed program using the distribution kit of the latest version of the program: 

1. Download the latest program version as described in the article: Downloading FineReader PDF 15, FineReader 14 and PDF Transformer+.
2. Extract the files to the temporary folder.
3. Run the Setup.exe.
4. If the latest version of the program is already installed, several options will be presented. Please select Repair:
   
5. After the repair has been completed, restart the computer. 

If repairing the program did not fix the issue, perform a reinstallation of FineReader PDF 15 as follows:

1. Completely remove the program as described in the article: How to completely remove FineReader PDF 15 for Windows.
2. Install the program using the distribution kit of the latest version of the program: Downloading FineReader PDF 15, FineReader 14 and PDF Transformer+.
