To highlight text in a document in FineReader PDF, please follow the steps below:

1. Open the application and select a scanned document.
   It is also possible to import a PDF document to the app as described in the article: How to import PDFs to FineReader PDF for iOS.
2. Tap a page to annotate.
3. Tap the Mark up button on the pane below.
   
4. Select Marker or Pen to highlight the text. To select a different color​​ for highlighting, please tap the button for color on the left.
