Symptoms

Page layout was distorted and the exact location of paragraphs on the page was not retained after conversion to Microsoft Word in FineReader PDF.

Cause

The situation may depend on the document layout and settings selected in the program.

Resolution

To solve the described issue, please try to apply the following recommendations:

1. For FineReader PDF 16: Start FineReader PDF and click on the settings icon () at the top-right corner of the screen.
   For FineReader PDF 15: Start FineReader PDF 15 and go to the Tools > Options.
2. Go to the Format Settings tab and open the DOC(X) / RTF/ ODT settings.
3. In the Document layout select Exact copy and tick the option Keep line breaks and hyphens: 
   
   
4. Convert the document to MS Word anew.
