How to add a hyperlink to text in a document in the PDF Editor of FineReader PDF?
Answer
It is possible to insert hyperlinks in the PDF Editor as described below:
- Start FineReader PDF. Select Open PDF Document and select the required document.
- Type the text to be used as a hyperlink or select the existing text.
- Either click the Edit > Add Link... in the main menu, or right-click the selected text and click the Add Link... on the shortcut menu.
Linking to a specific text fragment in the current document
In the Link Editor:
- Select Page in this document and enter the number of the page that the link should open, or click Select specific destination... and place the mouse cursor where the link should direct when clicking on it.
Linking to a web page
In the Link Editor:
- Select Web address, e-mail address, file or other resource and type the URL of the page required to link to (e.g. https://www.abbyy.com).
Linking to an e-mail address
In the Link Editor:
- Select Web address, e-mail address, file or other resource and type the recipient's e-mail address preceded by "mailto:" (e.g. mailto:office@abbyy.com).
Linking to a file
In the Link Editor:
- Select Web address, e-mail address, file or other resource and enter the path to the file that the link should open preceded by "file://" (e.g. file://D:/MyDocuments/ABBYYFineReader.pdf).
