How to disable the installation of the Screenshot Reader, Hot Folder, and/or Compare Documents components of FineReader PDF?

Answer

To disable the installation of the Screenshot Reader, Hot Folder, and/or Compare Documents components, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
2. Find ABBYY FineReader PDF and right-click it > select Change.
3. Select Modify > click Next.
4. For FineReader PDF 16:
   Untick the component(s), the installation of which should be disabled > click Install.
   
   For FineReader PDF 15:
   Select the component(s), the installation of which should be disabled > click its drop-down list > select This feature will not be available > click Next.
