How to Check In/Check Out a document stored in MS SharePoint to work with it in FineReader PDF 15, if Internet Explorer does not work or MS Edge is used?

Answer

To Check In/Check Out files stored in Microsoft SharePoint, the following solutions are suggested:

1. Disable redirection from Internet Explorer to Microsoft Edge.

   In MS Edge go to Settings > Default browser > Let Internet Explorer open sites in Microsoft Edge > set Never.

   You might need to restart Internet Explorer after changing the setting for it to take effect.

2. If only MS Edge is used: 
   You can install the IE Tab extension. In this case, when clicking the IE Tab extension, the web pages will be opened as if in Internet Explorer, where the View in File Explorer option will be available. 

3. If only MS Edge is used: 
   Enable the View in File Explorer option using GPO as described in the Microsoft article.
