Question

A user assigned to a Remote User license needs to be changed to a different user. How to implement it and assign a license to another user? 

Answer

If a user assigned to a Remote User license needs to be changed to a different one, the current reservation can be canceled in the FineReader PDF License Manager. Please follow the steps below:

1. Start the License Manager.
2. In the Licenses pane, select the required Remote User license (which the previous user had) > right-click it > select Undo Reserve.
3. Right-click this license again > select Reserve.
   Type the user's name you want to reserve the license for (new user) > select Reserve. 
4. Click Refresh.

The user can now use FineReader PDF installed on the terminal server and receive the reserved license. 

If the installation of the program is needed on the user's workstation, make sure you install the program on the workstation from the administrative installation point.
