The documentation states that the Process Intelligence component can have two identical servers and a standard load balancer. How the load balancer information is used (i.e. which components point to the load balancer)?

Answer

The load balancer should accept the traffic and route the same to process intelligence servers. The important point is that they should have the sticky session configured and retain the header information while sending the request to servers. It is customer’s responsibility to configure the load balancer.
