Custom fields to FC Invoice module

Hello There,

  • I have created customer fields by exporting trained batch for a particular vendor to flexilayout. It has normal fields and table items defined. 
  • Then I have loaded to document definition >> flexilayout section. I could see the fields appearing and also successfully shown in Training batch for the particular vendor.
  • I can also see the new fields are appearing correctly for other vendors mapped to the particular DD.

But the issue here is, other old fields are messed up which were mapped correctly earlier.

Just wanted to know if there is missing here. Any approach would be helpful.

    You started incorrectly. You don't have to export the training batch. Just create a fresh layout with new fields and merge into existing document definition.

    If the custom layout is created only for one vendor then you can follow your first approach but instead of importing into the document definition, import into the training batch of that vendor.

    Thanks Rahul I have created like this now. I hope there would be another training needed inside batch for each vendor applicable to apply the generic custom fields created.

    Since values are not captured correctly.

    For all the existing fields, it'll refer the training that you have already done or you can train it later as well.
    For any custom fields where layout is created, it'll refer the layout.

    Hi Rahul, Does the batch training works for custom layout?

    What if I need to use same fields for other vendor with different mapping? What is the approach?

    Any suggestion?

    This can be closed.

    Solution. We need to have exact field matching in Layout and DD level then only the import option works. Could make out from the Recognition logs.

    Hi Rahul,

    I have closed the above vendor. But for other vendor I wants to use the same custom fields. So I went to other vendor training batch and exported to layout. 

    In layout studio, custom fields are missing. Also noticed blocks are colored green unlike normal block logo.

    Any suggestions please on this.
