Scanning suddenly stopped producing readable results

I have used Abbyy FineReader 12 Pro with my HP LaserJet Pro M148dw for a while. Now suddenly, the preview and the scan produce un-usable results. A normal, readable document comes out as follows:

What can I do?

    Hello Walter,

    I'd recommend you try another driver for scanning (menu Tools > Options > General > Select device) or select the scanner's interface there in the settings. If it won't help, please create a support ticket for us.
