Does ABBYY Finereader integrate the ABBYY FineReader Engine API?

Hi Teams,

I am your reseller. I had a customer ask the following: They are thinking of using ABBYY Finereader PDF and want to integrate the FineReader Engine API > Is the API available or do I have to buy an add-on?

If additional add-on is purchased, how to integrate this API into ABBYY FineReader PDF? And how much does this API pricing?

Thanks,

    Hi Kha,

FineReader PDF (desktop) doesn't have an API that can be used to integrate it with other applications. FineReader Engine, on the other hand, is an SDK that allows software developers to create applications that extract textual information from paper documents, images or displays, integrating these functions into the applications using an API.

    Hi Yuriy,

    Thanks for your infomation.

So to put it simply, FineReader Engine is a different product/solution than ABBYY FineReader PDF right?

And to use FineReader Engine, I just need to buy FineReader Engine license, right?

And how much does FineReader Engine cost?

    Thanks,

You're right, FineReader Engine and FineReader PDF are two different products.

Please contact your ABBYY Sales representative with all questions you may have about suitability of FineReader Engine for your customer's task, licensing, pricing, etc. You can also use the "Contact us" button on the page abbyy.com/ocr-sdk/

    Hi Yuriy,

So to use FineReader Engine, I only have to buy the License of FineReader Engine, no need to buy anything else right?

And is FineReader Engine developed at On-Preimise or Cloud?

    Thanks,
