This is the free version that came with Fujitsu SP-1130 document scanner. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.
Originally used v12 but when I came back to use it after a few months it didn't work. It had been feeding sheets slowly, every 4-5 seconds, and skipping pages. I moved to PaperStream IP but that stopped working too. Now I think about it the Twain driver was described as PaperStream IP in the Fujitsu downloads area. But it had worked OK.
So yesterday I updated all the software. PS no longer had a PDF scan function so I returned to ABBYY, now 16 with the 'Sprint' apparently dropped. Anyway it worked for one session. But coming back to it today the SP-1130 TWAIN driver does not appear in the list of devices. Only the WIA device. Selecting that scans slowly and skips pages again.
So why does the TWAIN driver never stick around for more than one scanning session?
Currently FineReader PDF 16: Release 2 Update 1 build 16.0.13.5819
There's a FineReader PDF 16: Release 3 Update 2 build 16.0.14.7295 available but it's 826MB! I can't give up a gigabyte for every little update. It worked before so I don't want to update unless there's a known fix for this specific issue.
