2 columns into one

Hello,

There is an already recognized PDF document with two columns.
Is it possible to use ABBYY FineReader to convert 2 columns into one, remove unnecessary areas marked with arrows and then save the DOCX document?

Sincerely,
Eugene

    Hello,

    As your goal is to get a DOCX output, I'd recommend the following course of actions to do that with FineReader PDF:

    1. Crop unnecessary parts of the pages from the PDF in PDF Editor;
    2. Convert the PDF into DOCX. You can either do that in one click in a fully automatic mode directly in the PDF Editor ("Recognize" button, "Recognize Document" option), or convert using OCR Editor for fine-tuning the conversion options and getting the most accurate result possible. To send a PDF from the PDF Editor to the OCR Editor, use "Recognize and Verify in OCR Editor" option of the "Recognize" button;
    3. Convert the text from two-column to one-column layout in Microsoft Word.

    You can download a free 7-day trial of FineReader PDF on our web-site
