Hi,
We are using "finereader-engine-linux-x86-64-12.4.7.1122.jar" for text and barcode detection. Sometimes the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) encounters a severe error (SIGSEGV) and crashes.
Analyzing hs_err_pid files showed, that in most cases the SIGSEGV occured during "com.abbyy.FREngine.Engine.unload". The problem does happen just from time to time and not always.
Do you have any recommendation on how to solve the problem?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Sascha,
Sorry to hear that.
Could you please estimate how often does the issue reproduce (once per day/once 100 documents processed etc.)?
As a general suggestion, I would advice trying out the newest version. The issue might have been already fixed. You can download the newest version via the following link:

To summarize, I am afraid that those types of issues are one of the hardest, so if the issue persists, please create a support ticket and we will investigate thoroughly.
Hi Nikolai,
we will test the new version. It currently happens at least once an hour:
