    Hi Zelda,

    This message may appear if access permissions to AbbyyMsiLog.txt are insufficient. Please check permissions.
    I hope it will help you.

    I also had this problem, and I managed to cope with it, so I would advise you to add this to the Windows registry:

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ABBYY\Debug]

    'EnableMSILog'='false'

    Yes, you're right Jorg, but there is one important detail, if there is no such section and key in the registry, you should create them and specify ‘false’ as the value of 'EnableMSILog'.

    Zelda,

    Just in case you're not familar or comfortable with editing your registry, I've created a simple registry for you. All you need to do is extract the file and double click on the .reg file to apply the setting to your registry. You can download the file from the following location:

    http://www.abbyydownloads.com/MSILogError.zip

    sabihoff12,

    If you are having the sharing violation error like the one in this case, just download the file I listed above "http://www.abbyydownloads.com/MSILogError.zip" and unzip it. Double click on the .reg file and it should apply the registry for you. You might need to restart your machine then try installing again.
