Recognition Server 4.0 "Unspecified Error" in Text window of Verification Station

Recognition Server 4.0 (with FineReader XIX module) is showing "Unspecified error" in the Text window of Verification Station, instead of the OCR'd text.  If I accept the document, the output seems to be okay, but I just cannot view it in the Text window.  This behavior is new and might have started after a recent Windows 10 update, I am not 100% certain.  I did not make any changes to Recognition Server settings -- the same workflow, etc. as when there was no problem.

If I click on "Unspecified error" in the Text window, this error message pops up:

Internal program error:

e:\teamcity.recognitionserver.4.0\product\branches\4.0.6\1\rs.verificationstation\finereader\frame\editor\editorcontextmenu.cpp, 127.
