Automatically recognizing only the first two characters Answered

The forms which we are processing have a country ID which looks like (for example Germany) DE-de or (for Austria) AT-de

This represents the country and then the language. We only need the country code though.

Is there some type of setting which would allow only the first two recognized characters to be put in the form?
