Setting the last page as annex page in a multipage document.

Hi,

I have a template which captures fields across multiple pages.
The minimum number of pages is 2 (1 main page + 1 annex page)
Maximum 100 pages (99 main pages + 1 annex page)
The number of annex page in this template is always 1.

Please advise me how to set this.

Thanks!

    Hello PhinkTad,

There are different ways to set up a multipage document definition, the choice of the best one depends on the type of your template (fixed or flexible) and the way you are going match the template to multiple pages: it is possible that you have document section that can be matched to a single page, but the section can be repeated within the document, or you set up flexible description that can be matched to several pages and then you have only one section, but the number of pages in it may vary from 1 to 99.

Let's imagine you have implemented the first approach (the section can be repeated, one annex page). Then you should go to the document definition properties (Ctrl+T in the Document definition editor), Assembly tab and specify the number of possible occurences of the main document section (1 - 99 in your case). Then check Enable annex pages option and specify that only one annex page is allowed (see attached screenshot).

If you have flexible section that can be matched to multiple pages, then you should specify this in the properties of the FlexiLayout: General tab, Allow multi-page documents, and set minimum and maximum number of pages to 1 and 99, respectively. After you load this flexible description into FlexiCapture document definition, it should be enough to set 1 occurence for this section and enable Annex pages and set 1 for Annex pages section too.

I hope my explanation was not too cumbersome. For more details please refer to FlexiCapture Help, Program settings > Document Definitions > Creating Document Definitions for multipage documents.
