Use once document definition in the batch

Hi all!

I have situation and have no idea how to deal with it.
So here is my problem, I need to create a batch which uses document definition only for once.

To clarify, let's say I create batch which uses document definition with FL named Test1.
This definition recognizes documents with header "test".
Now I import one PDF with two documents inside, both documents has "test" header, so all I need that abbyy merge both these documents in one and recognize text only in first one, the second document could be annex or with confidence level 0.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot!!!!!!

    Plak,

How does it know when to stop assembling? So in your example if you drop in all your images, it should create 1 document. When does it know when to stop or what is your logic on when it stops? Also do you plan to export out the second document's value?

My answer will probably change depending on what you tell me above but you can do is change the assembly in the FC DocDef. Basically change the max to 2 or more. It will now combine all the same DocDef into 1 Document. Of course you will have repeated data and will probably need a custom script to only export the one instance.

    Thanks for respond .
For first my logic was maybe there is any way how to limit document definition execution in batch properties...If document definition was executed and one document was recognized, then other documents in batch would be let's say annex or etc.
About the values, I need data only from first document and I don't care about the other pages (documents).

What you mentioned about DocDef max number, I already done, but the problem is that if I import a huge document with 100 pages and basically I need values only from first two pages (admit that DocDef will recognize that first two pages are one document), it means I must waist my time and wait while FC recognizes the rest 98 pages.

I'm not sure if this scenario is done in general, but I appreciate all your ideas and suggestions!

    Plak,

From the sound of it you're probably going to need to script this. In looking at the Event Handler, there is an object call "IMatchingInfo" that seem to let you force match your pages. One of which is annex. Maybe that could work for you in your case?

Hi , You can do it
write your script to define the first page as your Document Type , and the other pages is Annexx , write your script in event handler , (Before match) event in Batch type Properties .
try to make the Flexcapture Read only 1 page , and in Document Definition properties to be 1 to 1 ,enable annexx pages from 0 to 100 .
    this will work
