What does the 'internal server error 500' mean?

Hi,

I have imported a project successfully into project setup station. When I click upload project to server in the dialog box I enter http://localhost and click test connection. 'It says connection success' but when I click ok, it gives me error cannot upload project 'internal server error 500'

I even tried logging as the administrator and still getting the same issue.

Any suggestions?

    Do you have anything else installed on the machine? More specifically, something that is using port 80. IF so turn that off and see if you still have the issue. If yes, try a simple IIS reset.

    The account used did not have admin access in admin and monitoring console-->permissions-->users
    Now its fixed.
