We're scanning documents with pages varying from 1 up to 40+. We only need to capture data from the first page, so we've set the Document Definition to use our FlexiLayout for page 1 and then Annex the rest of the pages.
Verification operators have noted that every batch goes into verification, even when the OCR data is 100% accurate and typically they see this error message "Incorrect page order and/or page set. Go to Document in thumbnail view and correct document page order."
All we have been able to accomplish there is to set page(s) 2 and up as Annex pages, and then the error goes away. I'm puzzled because it appears that our Document Definition should already be doing that for us!
How can we fix this? I've tried "Disable sections order check" and I've set "Begin document from first section" to see if that would help. I noticed no difference.
I posted 5 screenshots -- 4 of the error condition and 1 of our settings.
Thank you in advance for any help!

In your flexilayout you should add unique classifiers for the first page (it maybe required or/and prohibited elements), that allows to match the flexilayout only on the first page.
In case the first page has no principal differences with other pages, try to uncheck "Disable section order check" option and check "Detect annexes on the basis of preset document structure...".
Please let me know about a result.
increase max number of "single-state written date label" sections in your document definition.
System recognized two "single-state written date label" sections. As I can see from your Document Definition settings, max number is 1(see the image below), therefore you get the error.
Prevent that two images will be mached with "single-state written date label" section in one document or increase number of possible sections.
You allowed up to 50 annex pages. That is the reason why you do not get error after you change the page to annex page.
