Using FlexiCapture to Split Bundled pdf's

Hello,

A few of our clients send us work in the form of a single pdf that contains multiple documents, sometimes as many as 60 documents per pdf file.
Preferably I would like to split these up into batches of about 10.

My idea is to use 2 FlexiCapture projects in conjunction with one another:
The first project would import the original bundled pdf, recognize the Headers and Footers (thus splitting it up into individual documents), then export the individual documents as images into the Hot Folder of the second project.
The second project would be set to import in batches of 10 documents, then recognize them using a more thorough template, then export as xml.

Is this possible?
The stage i'm struggling with exporting the split documents as images from the first project.

    To be more specific:
    I want automate the export of documents as individual image file from the first project. I appreciate that this can be done manually.

    Hello Sam,

    Please specify what version (down to release) of FlexiCapture you are using. There is a possibility to make Advanced workflow that will process documents in a way you want within one project (FlexiCapture 10 and above). This can also be done without exporting-importing documents which will make process easier to understand and implement.

    I've had a look into the Advanced Workflow options, as well as reading about how they work in the Help Topics and Knowledge Base.
    Am I right in thinking that using an Unattended Processing stage after Recognition would be the logical way to split a batch of 50+ documents into batches of 10 documents?
    If so, are you able to provide a script that would do this?
    I have limited experience of .Net and Javascript, but I have a colleague who is a .Net programmer and would be able to help me implement the required scripts.
    Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Sam,

    Please excuse me for being kind of wrong.
    It actually looks like you can "move" documents between batches only by using FlexiCapture web API. But it is kind of complex since you will need to use external .dll.
    From this point of view your algorithm is easier to understand but it will likely take 2 times as much pages from your license than my approach.
    Please specify why you would want to split batches since there may be a way more simple solution for your case.
